Saying that you need something

Inshinga/Verb:

Gukenera = to need

With different subjects:

  1. Nkeneye = I need
  2. Ukeneye = You need
  3. Akeneye = He/She needs
  4. Gikeneye = It needs (talking about any other thing that is not a human)
  5. Ikeneye = It needs (Talking about another animal)
  6. Dukeneye = We need
  7. Mukeneye = You need (Plural)
  8. Bakeneye = They need (People)
  9. Bikeneye = They need (Other things)
  10. Zikeneye = They need (Animals)

Urugero:

  1. Igihugu gikeneye abaririkare = The country needs soldiers.
  2. Abana bakeneye kwitabwaho = Children need to be taken care of.
  3. Dukeneye amahoro = We need peace
  4. Igiti gikeneye kuhirwa = The tree needs to be watered.
  5. Igihugu gikeneye urubyiruko = The country needs the youth.
  6. Nkeneye kurya = I need to eat.

More vocabularies:

  1. Abasirikare = soldiers ==> Umusirikare = A soldier
  2. Igihugu = The country
  3. Abana = children ==> Umwana = a child/a baby
  4. Kwitabwaho = to be taken care of
  5. Amahoro = peace
  6. Kuhira = to water (plants) ==> Kuhirwa = to be watered
  7. Igiti = A tree ==> Ibiti = trees
  8. Urubyiruko = the youth
  9. Kurya = to eat
