How to say, “Where will you celebrate” in Kinyarwanda

Dialogue

Umuntu 1: Iminsi mikuru iregereje / Festive days are new
Umuntu 2: Muzasohokera he? / Where will you go out?

Umuntu 1: Tuzasohokera kuri Muhazi Beach. / We will go out to Muhazi Beach.
Umuntu 2: Tuzajyane? / We go together?

Umuntu 1: Yego / Yes.

Vocabulary

Iminsi = Days
Umunsi = A day
Mikuru = Big
Iminsi mikuru = Big days / Festive days
Iregereje = It is near
Kwegereza = To be near
Muzasohokera = You will go out (in terms of celebrating)
He = Where
Tuzasohokera = We will go out to / Comes from the verb Gusohoka (to go out)
Kuri = At / On
Tuzajyane? = We go together? / Comes from the verb Kujyana (to go together)
Kenshi = Often

Gusohoka

Ndasohoka = I go out
Urasohoka = You go out
Arasohoka = He/She goes out
Turasohoka = We go out
Dusohoka = We go out
Murasohoka = You go out (plural)
Barasohoka = They go out

To add a place, you just change last “ka” to “kera“;
Ndasohokera = I go out to
Murasohokera = You go out to
Basohokera = They go out to
Dusohokera = We go out to

To put it into the future tense; you change “nda” to “nza”, “ra” to “za”, and for “du” to “tuza”;
Nzasohoka = I will go out
Uzasohoka = You will go out
Tuzasohoka = We will go out
Muzasohokera = You will go out

Kujyana

Tujyane = We go together
Mujyane = You go together (plural)
Bajyane = They go together
Tuzajyana = We will go together (affirming)
Tuzajyane? = We will go together? (interrogating)
Muzajyana = You will go together.
