Umuntu 1: Kubera iki yishimye? / Why is he happy?
Umuntu 2: Afite umuryango mwiza. / He has a beautiful family.
Vocabulary
Kubera iki? = Why?
Yishimye = He is happy. (comes from the verb “kwishima” which means to be happy)
Afite = He has. (comes from the verb “kugira” which means to have)
Umuryango = A family.
Mwiza = Beautiful.
Kwishima
Yishimye = He/she is happy.
Yarabyishimiye = It made him/her happy.
Turishimye = We are happy.
Yarishimye = He/she became happy.
Nzishima = I will be happy.
Bizanshimisha = It will make me happy.
Barishimye = They are happy.
Kugira
Afite = He/she has (this means the same as “agira“, however agira is used when someone own something, whereas afite is used when someone just have something.)
Dufite = We have
Yari afite = He/she had
Tuzaba dufite = We will have
