Proverb: Uwanze kumva ntiyanze no kubona

Meaning

He who do not listen, will see/will face concequences.

This is a proverb that is told to people who do not seem to listen to other people’s advices, to tell them that even if they do not care about the advice, they will face concequences and they can’t deny facing concequences.

Vocabulary

Uwanze = The person who denied (comes from Kinyarwanda Verb Kwanga which means to hate.)
Kumva = To listen/To hear
Ntiyanze = Did not deny (comes from Kinyarwanda verb Kwanga as well)
Kubona = To see

I have used Kwanga as to Deny and this is because to deny in Kinyarwanda means “Kwangira” which is related to Kwanga, but hating to do something for someone.
